Karen Corcoran Walsh is an educator, mental health specialist and an addiction treatment professional focusing on adolescent and adult diagnosis and treatment. Karen is a business woman, with twenty-two years of experience in the business of education and healthcare. Her most notable years in the addiction treatment profession were spent working with adolescents and families in the substance abuse and addiction treatment facilities she established and operated. She also established a private high school to provide education and tutoring to adolescents during their time in a residential teen program. Her appearances on national television and her own radio show provided a platform for community and national conversations about individuals and families struggling with the affliction and destruction of substance abuse, addiction, and mental health.
Throughout Karen’s career, she has held positions within the workplace as an Officer and Director including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Clinical Director, Compliance Officer, Director of Education, and Educator.
An author and spokesperson, Karen Corcoran Walsh has dedicated much of her time as an expert in the prevention, treatment, and sustainable recovery of individuals struggling with the traumas and challenges facing many of our adults and youth throughout the United States. She continues to pursue business endeavors working to provide excellence and compassion in patient care, while creating sustainable and responsible business models in the medical and clinical professions.
Karen Corcoran Walsh is a community advocate and philanthropist working with and contributing to non-profit organizations including Veterans Projects, Boca Helping Hands, Food Distribution Centers, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD), Students Against Drunk Drivers (SADD), NOPE Task Force (Narcotics Overdose Prevention & Education), 4 Kids Foster Care, The Human Trafficking Coalition, and more.
Karen Corcoran Walsh’ enjoys continued education through university and certificate programs providing her with continued up-to-date research and advanced education, leaving a trail of educational accomplishments to include a Doctorate degree, a Master of Science degree, and a Bachelor of Science Degree, with multiple behavioral certifications and national addiction professional certifications, including Master Certified Addiction Professional with International Reciprocity, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Florida Supreme Court Mediation and Sound Therapy.
